Juraj Kois, freelancer.

Based in Central Europe, I am a freelance journalist and expert on electronic media, specifically the Czech and Slovak radio and television market. I can also undertake a wide range of writing and editing assignments in other areas.

Media works.

My main focus is covering the media, especially TV and radio. I have served as editor-in-chief of RadioTV.cz, the oldest media blog in the Czech Republic founded in 1999. As of now, I run my own indepentent media blog TVKOMPAS.cz focusing mainly on pay TV market coverage and analysis, as well as regulatory issues regarding TV broadcasting and distribution in the CZ and SK markets.

Past work

Sports writer and consultant.

Prior to my current role as media analyst, I used to be a sports writer. I have served as European correspondent for The Pro Hockey Euroreport (1998-1999), web editor at Slovan Bratislava (1999-2012) as well as the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation (2003-2020). I also led several online projects at the Slovak public broadcaster STV / RTVS (2006-2014) as consultant and chief editor.
